Ronald Dean Davis, 49, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at his residence.
Ronald was born January 29, 1962 in Maryville, Missouri, to Bob and Donna (Reed)
Davis. He graduated from Savannah High School and attended various technical schools.
Ronald was a field mechanic, in the Mound City and Oregon, Missouri
area, for the Missouri Department of Transportation for 26 years. He also owned and operated Davis Towing, which he purchased from his father in 2001.
Ronald married Tammy Briner on July 31, 1982 in Savannah. They are the parents of two children and later divorced.
Ronald was a member of American Towing Association. He enjoyed Sprint
car racing with his son, as well as casinos, races, friends and family.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; and one nephew, Tim Davis.
Survivors include son, Zachary Davis and companion, Nikki Cross; daughter,
Brittany Davis and companion, Jeffery Adams; Tammy Davis; siblings,
Robert (Connie) Davis, Verona Thomas, Kathy (Greg) Gabler, Rick (Penny) Davis, Sandra (Shawn) George, all of Savannah; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services 10 am, Monday at First Baptist Church, Savannah. Visitation will begin
after 9 am Sunday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday evening. Interment Bennett Lane Cemetery,
Savannah.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Conroy, Ellen Anna

Ellen Anna Conroy, 94, St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2011.
Ellen was born November 2, 1916 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Charles and Alene (Allie) (Baugh) Huber. She lived most of her life in Saint Joseph. She married Eugene (Gene) Conroy on November 4, 1939, who preceded her in death in 1966.
Ellen was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. Huber and her mothers Allie Huber and stepmother Marie (Crawford) Huber; brother Billy J. Huber; son, Ronald E. Conroy; daughter-in-law, Delores Conroy, & grandson Michael Conroy.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Pickard (Alan); her son, Steven C. Conroy (Dee), both of St. Joseph; and brother Charles C. Huber (Sue), of Springfield, Missouri.
Throughout Ellen’s life, she cherished her family, including her 6 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 5 great grandsons, and 7 great granddaughters. She was lovingly called Grandma Ellie or Grams.
Ellen was employed in retail department stores and spoke fondly of her time spent working on Petticoat Lane in Kansas City. She retired from Jerre Anne Cafeteria & Bakery, where she worked for 22 years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and S.F.X. Altar Society.
Ellen worked hard and was very proud of her 1968 Chevy Malibu fondly named, “The Baby Blue” and her home on Renick Street. She enjoyed the simple things in life, such as the rose bush in her front yard, listening to music from the Big Band era, sitting on her front porch, and enjoying an ice cream snack! She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Although she faced many hardships in her life, Ellen placed her trust in God and she lived grateful for each day. She truly practiced the Golden Rule. She was wise, strong, content, hardworking, spunky, witty, but most importantly, kind, nurturing, and selfless. Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren who will never forget her example of pure love.
Ellen’s family would like to acknowledge with special thanks all of the caregivers at Carriage Square Health Care Center for the excellent care provided to her.
Please celebrate Ellen’s life with us at her memorial service, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.

Florence E. (Rolls) Tilson, 101, passed away peacefully at her home in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday, July 24, 2011.
Florence was born on January 13, 1910 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Albert E. and Fannie E. (Bell) Rolls.
Florence was a homemaker and was a wonderful caregiver, who cared for her brother’s and father for many years. She helped with Meals on Wheels and loved nature. She especially enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard.
She married Loren Tilson, who preceded her in death in 1986. she was also preceded by her parents and five brothers.
Florence is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephew, Marie Sharp, Judy O’Connor, Jocelyn Whitlock, Ed Rolls, Beth Peters and Janice Rolls.
Services 11:00am Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10:00am Tuesday at our chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Shrines Hospital for Children.

Lee Carpenter, 45, Fillmore, MO, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at a local hospital.
Lee was born on April 8, 1966 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was raised in Barstow, California and moved to Missouri 30 years ago. He was a 1985 graduate of Savannah High School.
Mr. Carpenter was a factory worker for BlueScope Steel for 13 years. He previously worked for LaVerna Heights for 12 years, beginning in 1983.
Lee was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the tribe of Mic-O-Say. He served on the Fillmore Fire Department and was Alderman for the city of Fillmore. Lee loved the outdoors, camping and storm watching.
Lee married Gayle Carpenter on June 2, 1990, she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Felisha Carpenter and son, Seth Carpenter, both of the home; mother and dad, Pauline & Gene Youngblood, Grand Junction, CO; grandmother, Rosemary Kresal, Omoro, WI; 3 sisters, Tracie Bartlett, Joette Carpenter and Marian Carpenter, all of St. Joseph, MO; brother and sister-in-laws, Verna & Mike Jennings, Fillmore, MO; Fay Davis and Barb, St. Joseph, MO; Kay & Jerry Callow, St. Joseph; Susan & Duane Hughes, Fillmore, MO and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his father, Lee Carpenter and step-mom, Carolyn Carpenter.
Services 4:00 PM Wednesday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. Mr. Carpenter will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at our chapel.

Raytown, MO – Norma Jean (Yaktine) Doolan, 76, formerly of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011, at a Kansas City, MO hospital.
Norma was born in St. Joseph on March 6, 1935, to Michael and Iesha Yaktine. She married Gerald M. Doolan on October 14, 1951, in St. Joseph. Gerald died on September 2, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Norma is survived by her son, Michael Doolan, Wathena, KS; daughter, Joanne Marie Nelson, Kansas City, MO; brother Edward Yaktine, Lenexa, KS; sister, Katherine Reiger, Raytown, MO; grandchildren, Matthew Doolan, Ashley Liechti, Brett Liechti, and Jennifer Nappe; and great-granddaughter, Julie Doolan.
Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.

Mary Ann (Jenkins) Coffman, 82, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Abbey Woods Living and Rehabilitation Center in St. Joseph.
Mary Ann was born February 23, 1929, in Silver City, NM, the daughter of the late Arvil and Fern (Smith) Jenkins. She was a graduate of the Teachers College High School in Silver City and attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. While a student there, she pledged the Phi Delta Chapter of the Chi Omega Sorority. She later transferred and graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a baccalaureate degree in teaching. It was at the University that she met a fellow student, Everett J. Coffman of Versailles, MO. They married on November 23, 1950.
Mary Ann was a retired teacher from the St. Joseph School District. Everett passed away March 31, 1987. In 1993, Mary Ann returned to Silver City, NM. During this time, she was a volunteer at the Gila Regional Medical Center, Vice President of the Silver City Woman’s Club and a member of the Red Hat Society. Due to health issues in 2009, she returned to St. Joseph, MO. Mary Ann loved to travel, enjoyed family vacations in the Ozarks, and was an avid reader.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda Coffman in 2006 and her mother-in-law, Grace Coffman in 2011.
Mary Ann is survived by her two sons, Lawrence J. Coffman of St. Joseph; Neil V. Coffman and his wife Kimberly of Yelm, Washington; three grandchildren, Jeni and her husband, Aaron Dillman, Hilary and her husband, Steve Dennis and Aaron Coffman; five great-grandchildren, Ayden and Keegan Dillman and Skylin, Peyton and Zoe Dennis.
A private funeral service will be held under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Mrs. Coffman’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation to staff of The Fountains at Corby Place, Abbey Woods Staff, Three Rivers Hospice, Brandy Miller and all of Mary Ann’s friends and neighbors in Silver City, New Mexico.

Helen was born March 3, 1918 in Fillmore, Missouri to Alfred and Susie Bell(Oliphant) Hilsenbeck.
Helen was married to Don Walters, he survives of the home. She loved farming, raising Hereford cattle and hogs and caring for others.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Lloyd Bomar; three brothers, Elvin, Elmer and Mary, Murle and Mary K. Hilsenbeck.
Additional survivors include daughter, Josephine Jordan and husband, Bill; grandson, Billy Joe Jordan, all of Savannah; stepsons, David C. Dorothy was born January 28, 1917 in Lexington, Missouri, to Herman and Catherine (Kohrs) Jordan. She was a homemaker and a member of Ashland United Methodist
Church.
Dorothy married Dudley Garver on January 28, 1938 in Savannah, Missouri; he preceded her in death on June 14, 1986. She was also preceded by her parents; brothers, James, Irvin and H.G. Jordan; sisters, Mildred Leake and Maxine Leake
Survivors include son, Gary Garver; daughter, Amaryilis Horning; two grandchildren, Jennifer Foster and husband Clark, Rob Horning; and great-grandchild, Tom Foster.

Harold was born on June 5, 1930 in Saint Joseph, Missouri to James and Lavina (Nation) Conroy
Harold worked for United Technologies in wire assembly for 15 years until his retirement in 1985.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Robert, and James Jr.
Harold is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Maxine (Seever) Conroy; sons, Danny Conroy, Walter (Helen) Thornton; brother, Marion Conroy; sister, Georgie Wetherell, 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

Elizabeth was born in Bolckow, MO, on May 25, 1928, to James and Beulah (Coy) Walker. Elizabeth was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed dancing, music, playing cards and shopping. She was a wonderful caregiver to those who were in need.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, late husbands, three brothers: James “Speck” Walker, Wally Walker, Fred Walker, sisters, L.V. Harold Roger Smith, 79, lifelong resident of St. Joseph, MO., passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Harold was born on November 10, 1931, in St. Joseph, to Harold J. and Juanita (Miller) Smith. He graduated from Central High School in 1949. He attended Hillyard Vocational School. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he held many positions over the years. He was a troop leader of Boy Scouts of America and member of United Steelworkers Union. He worked at Westab and then Wire Rope Corp. of America, retiring in 1996, as a machinist.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James E. Smith and Paul A. Smith.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and servant to the Lord. He also enjoyed attending all of his grandson’s many ballgames and activities.
Harold married Bernadine Bertelsen on October 15, 1955, in St. Joseph. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Beric (Diane) Smith, St. Joseph, MO and Rodney Smith, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Matt Henton, Brett Smith and Cory Smith; two brothers, Stephen Smith, Provo, Utah and Dennis Smith, Brigham City, Utah sister, Margaret Harvey, Ogden, Utah; many nieces and nephews.
Services 10:00 a. m Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.

at his home.
Michael was born March 14, 1946 in Aberdeen, Ohio to Mary Claire (Hart)
Hennessee. He graduated from Robinson high school in Tampa, Florida.
He was an insurance agent for Combined Insurance and also was a
supervisor for Quaker Oats, retiring in 2000.
Michael loved his family and friends, and had a very giving heart. He was
full of life and laughter, loved to travel and was a collector of many things.
He also coached boy’s baseball and was a big sports fan.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother.
Michael married Patti D. Guyer on June 16, 1981 in Lawton, Oklahoma,
she survives of the home.
His immediate family includes son, Michael A. Hart, Jr. (deceased) and his
wife, Kristen; daughter, Cynthia Marie Hart; sons, Shawn Edward (Kristi)
Lorenz, Patrick Scott (Tonya) Hart; daughter, Jamie Michelle (Skyler) Smith;
twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Melissa (Robert)
Hirsch, Ocean Springs, Mississippi; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service 7 pm, Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden

Ricky was born on March 19, 1957, in St. Joseph, to Leroy and Billie (Crowley) Caldwell. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He was owner/operator of Norty’s Bar and Grill and also worked for Green Hills and HyVee Super Markets.

Mary Plymell, 93, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011
at Carriage Square Nursing Home.
She was born August 8, 1917 in Hopkins, Missouri and at a young age moved
to Kidder, Missouri, where she attended school.
In November, 1942, she married William Plymell. They were married 67 years,
living most of their life in St. Joseph. Mary worked as a grocery clerk at
Kovacs and Hy-Klas in St. Joseph for many years.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William B. and Ella (Layton) Whitten;
and sister, Mildred Renberger
She is survived by her husband, William Plymell; and a host of friends and
caregivers.
Mrs. Plymell has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith
& Sidenfaden Chapel. There will be no visitation or services at our Chapel,

Jeffrey F. Schmitt, 50, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at a local hospital.
Jeffrey was born November 7, 1960 in St. Joseph, to Frederick and Virginia (Smiley) Schmitt, Jr. He worked as a dietary assistant at Methodist Hospital, Heartland West Hospital and the YMCA.
Jeffrey was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother, of St. Joseph; brother, David Charles Schmitt and his wife Mary, Denton, Kansas; nephews, Tim and David Schmitt, Jr.; great-niece, Lucea Schmitt; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Eldon M. Steinman, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at a local health care center.
Eldon was born January 31, 1929 in Albany, Missouri to Otis and Anna (Needels) Steinman. He graduated from Albany High School in 1947. Later he served his country
in the United States Army.
Eldon married Ruhlene Scott on July 29, 1951 in Albany, she survives of the home. One daughter and one son were born to this union. He was a Missouri State Highway patrolman, retiring after 30 years.
Eldon was a member of Community Presbyterian Church. He belonged to Saxton Lodge 508, was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Moila Shrine Temple, Legion of Honor. He also belonged to the High Twelve Club #49, American Legion Post # 359, and Areme Chapter Order of Eastern Star #461. Eldon enjoyed camping with family and friends in their motor home.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and brother, Rex.
Additional survivors include daughter, Charis Marriott and husband, Carl, Kansas City, Missouri; son, Gregory Roy Steinman, St. Joseph; granddaughters, Nicole McCleish

Sarah (Burks) Dahlman passed away June 24, 2011 at the Oregon Care Center in Oregon, Missouri. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 9, 2011, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mound City, Missouri. Memorials in Sarah’s name may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Sarah was born February 5, 1924 in Mound City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Burks. She attended school in Mound City and Lindenwood College, St. Charles, Missouri. She served in many capacities in the Girl Scouts of America. She taught home nursing as a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was active in other organizations. She was a member of Air Force Officers Wives Clubs, Lindenwood College Clubs, Women’s City Club of Kansas City, Friends of Art, Nelson Atkins Gallery several Library Boards.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Reuben D. Dahlman, parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Burks, and brother Dean B. Burks.
Ketchem, Nadine M. (Zeorlin)

Nadine M. (Zeorlin) Ketchem, 82, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at a local health care center.
Nadine was born on July 29, 1928, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Reynold and Lillian (Vaeth) Zeorlin. She was a graduate of Central High School.
Mrs.Ketchem was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. She had previously worked in the billing department at the St. Joseph Light and Power and as a bookkeeper for the Public Water District #1 in Andrew County.
Nadine was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Women of Moose #315. She had served as the club leader for the Beeler Busy Beavers 4-H Club and the Beeler Extension Club.
Nadine married Quentin P. “Bud” Ketchem on April 22, 1949 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Arlene Serocki and Virginia Jasper; 2 brothers, Harold and Gregory Zeorlin and a nephew, Jodi Zeorlin
Survivors include 3 sons, Ronald (Pamela) Ketchem, Freemont, NE; Dennis (Katherine) Ketchem, St. Joseph, Mo and Richard (Rita) Ketchem, St. Joseph, MO; 2 daughters, Nancy (David) Riekhof, Floyds Knobs, IN and Linda (Robert) Vey, St. Joseph, MO; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Donald Zeorlin, Tyler, TX and Roger (Nancy) Zeorlin, Noel, MO.
Funeral Services will begin at 10:15 A.M., Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Father Tom Ludwig Celebrant. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 4:00 P.M. Monday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary at 6:30 PM on Monday.
The family has suggested memorial donations to National Parkinson’s Foundation.

Allene Patton, 85, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 at a local hospital.
Allene was born on May 29, 1926 in Amity, MO, to Allen and Gladys (Maeder) Patton.
Miss Patton was a head nurse and office manager for over 40 years, for Dr. Earl Whitsell, an eye, ears and nose physician. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and served as Secretary/Treasurer for the friendship class at the First Christian Church.
Miss Patton was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Charles Patton in 1991.
She is survived by, Francis Dale Hesnault, of the home.
Services 10:00 AM Monday, at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 1:00 PM Sunday at our chapel, with the family to receive friends 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday.

Craig L. Hill, 62, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his home.
Craig was born on April 1, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Lawrence L. and Dorothy M. Nagle) Hill.
He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam and was employed with Mead Products in St. Joseph for many years. Craig enjoyed music, playing his guitar, computer graphics and repair and digital recording.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Joan Hill-Nichols and one brother, Dennis Hill.
He married Connie Aquilino, she survives of the home. Additional survivors include his children, Jimmy Aquilino and wife Julieta, two daughters, Kristi Haertling and Sharla Henry; one sister Diane Kent; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service 7:00pm Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

CAMERON, Mo. — Charles M. Daily III passed away on Sunday, July, 3, 2011, at the Missouri Veteran’s Nursing Home, Cameron, Mo.
Charles was born on October 15, 1927, in Andrew County, Mo., to Charles M. Daily, Jr. and Gladys (Pyle) Daily. They preceded him in death, as did his brother, Wilburn Daily.
Charles graduated from Savannah High School in 1945. He graduated with Distinction from the University of Missouri in 1952 with a B.S. degree in Vocational Agriculture and was a member of Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture. He was a lifetime member of the University of Missouri Alumni Association and was a big fan of the Mizzou Tigers Football.
Mr. Daily enlisted in the United States Army of Occupation in February 1946 and was honorably discharged in October 1947. He was in the Signal Corps and was stationed in Korea and Japan.
Charles married Louise Harvey on June 10, 1950, at the First Christian Church in Savannah, Mo. She survives of the home.
Charles was a former member of the First Christian Church in Savannah, where he was a member of the Church Board and taught a Sunday School class. He was currently a member of Central Christian Church in St. Joseph.
Mr. Daily retired from the United States Postal Service in 1992.
Charles was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Cosby, Mo., and a member of the Scottish Rite and Moila Shrine Temple, where he was a member of the Legion of Honor. He was a member of VFW Post 6760, St. Joseph and the American Legion in Savannah.
Charles and Louise enjoyed traveling and took many enjoyable trips in the United States and abroad.
Mr. Daily is also survived by his son, Michael (Ana) Daily, Miami, Fla.; and his daughter, Kathleen (Don) Davison of St. Joseph; four grandsons and one granddaughter, Scott, Michael (Talitha), Nicholas (Emily), Justin, and Lauren (Rey); two great-granddaughters, Lily and Zoe; step grandchildren, Cali and Andy Davison and Shellie (Sean) O’Flaherty; step great-grandchildren, Cadence, Mallory, Jessie, and Travis.
Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kan., under the direction of the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. There will be no visitation at the Chapel.
Suggested memorials are the Missouri Veteran’s Nursing Home at Cameron, Mo., St. Jude’s, or the Shriner’s Burn Hospital.

Robert J. “Bob” Horning, Sr., 71, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at his home.
Bob was born on August 24, 1939 in Kansas City, Kansas to Joseph A. and Frances M. (Johnson) Horning.
Bob worked as a copywriter, the St. Joseph News-Press and was in sales for most of his life. He was a member of the Air National Guard, retiring after 22 years as Master Sergeant.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents.
He married Amaryilis “Amy” Garver on November 18, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma, she survives of the home. Additional survivors include his children, Robert J. Horning, Jr., Jennifer Foster, son-in-law, Clark E. Foster, grandson, Thomas C. Foster; sister, Patricia Young; brother, Steve Horning; two brother-in-laws Gary Young and Gary M., Garver; niece and nephews, Susan Cary, Mark and Aaron Young; great nephew, Aiden Young.
Mr. Horning has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. There will be no visitation or service held at our chapel.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Juanita Mae Schott, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at a local health care center.
Juanita was born July 5, 1919 in St. Joseph to Luther and Elma (Baker) Barnett. She was a graduate of Central High School.
Juanita was married to Leo Schott, Jr., he preceded her in death on July 18, 1984. She was also predeceased by her parents; daughter, Janet Melville; brother, Ralph Barnett; and sister, Margaret Sollars.
Juanita was a grocery clerk at Dubowsky Grocery Store and Elliott Grocery Store. She belonged to Cathedral of St. Joseph as well as the Altar Society.
She was a member of Needles of Moila and played in several card groups.
Survivors include sons, Leo (Jo Anne) Schott, III, Charles (Vicki) Schott all of St. Joseph; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Leona Kariker, Spokane Valley, Washington.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 am, Thursday at Cathedral of St. Joseph. Visitation will begin after 12 noon Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 pm Wednesday evening. Rosary at 6:30 pm. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Living Community of St. Joseph or Kendallwood Hospice .

Lola Woodbury, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at a local health care center.
Lola was born December 1, 1932 in Graham, Missouri. On April 10, 1953, she married Donald Woodbury in Hiawatha, Kansas, he survives of the home.
Lola was a Licensed Practical Nurse and Psychiatric Aide for St. Joseph State Hospital #2 for 20 years. She was an active member of Marvin McMurray United Methodist Church and loved raising her children and grandchildren.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Etta Pryor; and one son, Michael Woodbury.
Additional survivors include daughter, Ellen Louise Woodbury; son, David Wayne Woodbury and his wife Deana, all of St. Joseph; four grandchildren, Jeff, Chad, Eden and Delaney Woodbury; one granddaughter-in-law, Deann Woodbury; one great-granddaughter, Kylie Woodbury and one great-grandson, Karter Woodbury.
Services 2:30 pm, Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Pastor E. Dean Eikenberry officiating. Visitation will begin after 9 am, Sunday at our Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday evening. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ralph D. Hartman, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at a St. Joseph health care center.
Ralph was born on December 31, 1928, in Berlin, NJ. Raised in New Jersey, he was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Rutgers University. He served in the Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
Ralph married Betty Kelly on October 5, 1963. They started their family and in 1977, they moved to Savannah, MO, before moving to St. Joseph in 2008. He worked for Wyeth Company in the warehouse until it closed, then worked for Dr. Tobin, driving patients.
Ralph was of the Christian faith; a Mason and member of Scottish Rites, and Moila Shrine Temple. He was a member of Drum and Bugle Corp and Pipe & Drums. He was also a member of Little Theater, Barber Shoppers; board member of Salvation Army; and a former Councilman of the City of Berlin.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jane (Dudley) Hartman; wife Betty Hartman; brother, James Nicholas Hartman, II and sister, Fern Elizabeth Moreland.
Ralph is survived by sons, Chris (Brenda) Hartman, St. Joseph, MO and Dan (Amanda) Hartman, Killeen, TX, and Larry (Cathy) Rankine, Asheville, NC; daughter, Connie (Troy) Walker, McDonough, GA; grandchildren, Alex and Aimee Hartman; Grant, Logan and Devin Walker; Mike and Ryan Rankine; Josh, Ashley, MaKayla and Savannah Hartman; one sister, Edith Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hartman has been cremated. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Dr. Darrell Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Service. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery.
