Joseph L. “Joe” Mollus, Jr., 49, of St. Joseph passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home.

Joe was born October 18, 1962 in St. Joseph to Joseph, Sr. and Ethel (Rhoades) Mollus. He worked for Monfort and Seitz Packing Companies and at the East Hills Mall. He had also served with the Army Reserve.

Mr. Mollus was preceded in death by his mother; a granddaughter Makya Mollus; a brother, John Mollus and a sister, Debra Mollus

Joe is survived by his father, Joseph L. Mollus, Sr.; a daughter, Jessica Mollus; two grandchildren, Demetrius Mollus and Lillia McDougal all of St. Joseph; a brother Jerry (Lynda) Mollus of Waterloo, IA; a sister, Jennifer (Rob) Gentry of Windsor, CT and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00PM Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.

Lundy, Donna

Donna Lundy, 62, of St. Joseph, passed away, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at her home.

Donna was born on December 21, 1949, in Tindall, Missouri to Richard “Dick” and Kitty (Bosley) French. She moved to St. Joseph, where she graduated from Lafayette High School and attended St. Joseph Junior College.

She was a coordinator for the Community Action Partnership. She was a lifelong member of Patee Park Baptist Church where she was the Youth Director and taught Sunday school.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking them all, at the same time, on family vacations. She was very warm hearted and never knew a stranger.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving family includes, husband, Larry Lundy, of the home; sons, Jeff (Jennifer) Lundy, of Savannah, Doug (Heather Allen) Lundy, Bradley (Amelia) Lundy, both of St. Joseph; daughter, Erica Lundy, of the home; grandchildren, Jessie, Jacob, Samantha, Charley, Brayden, Deneen, Nate, Lane, and Cash; sisters, Joyce Gilpatrick, and Janice Bruce, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, at Patee Park Baptist Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 9:00 am Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Loupe, Sylvain MacRobert “Bob”

Sylvain MacRobert “Bob” Loupe, 72, DeRidder, Louisiana, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Bob was born May 7, 1939 to Sylvain Robert and Willie Mae (Deitsch) Loupe in Alexandra, Louisiana. He married Janice Gail Lillard on August 1, 1981 in Fillmore, Missouri.

Bob was a graduate of United States Military Academy at West Point. Having served two tours in the Vietnam War, he later retired from the U. S. Army. Bob also retired from Raytheon Government Services.

He enjoyed family (especially reunions) golf, Army, LSU and Saints football and reading.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Maxine Lillard; brother-in-law, Jim Dunton; and niece (God-Child), Joy (Dunton) Agnelli.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Robin Maxine both of DeRidder; daughter, Maegan (Adam) Powell of Birmingham, Alabama; sisters, Judy Dunton, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Roberta (Roy) St. Pierre, of Maurepas, Louisiana, Donna Loupe, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Richard (Pat) Lillard, of Saint Peters, Missouri; Dennis (Sally), Rodney (Nancy) and Bob Mac Lillard, all of Savannah, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services 11 am, Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, Savannah, Missouri. Visitation will begin after 3 pm, Monday at our Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday evening. Interment Fillmore Cemetery.

Atkins, Virgil “Dean”

Virgil “Dean” Atkins, 81, Savannah, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011, surrounded by his family, at LaVerna Village Nursing Home.

Dean was born October 7, 1930 in Fillmore, Missouri to William and Anna (Uelliger) Atkins. He was a graduate of Fillmore High School. Dean served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Dean married Patricia Ann Jackson on June 4, 1955 in Rea, Missouri, she preceded him in death on August 11, 2009. He was also predeceased by his parents; brother, Lloyd Atkins; and sister-in-law, Barbara Atkins.

Dean retired form McCarty Motors in Savannah, where he was a mechanic and parts manager. He was a member of Rosendale Christian Church.

Survivors include son, Michael Dean (Norma) Atkins of St. Joseph, Missouri; daughter, Lori Ann (Todd) Goodson of Manhattan, Kansas; four grandchildren, Corissa Atkins, Christopher (Toni) Kucan, Annie Goodson, Carrie Goodson; three great-grandchildren, Bridget, Cole and Christan Kucan; two brothers, Dale (Lola) Atkins of Rosendale, Missouri, Larry Atkins of Rea, Missouri; numerous family and friends, including a dance partner and friend, Margaret Pryor.

Mr. Atkins has been cremated. Memorial Services 2 pm, Saturday at Rosendale Christian Church. Inurnment Savannah Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm.

Simon, Billy E.

Billy E. Simon, 88, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Living Community of St. Joseph.

Billy was born on September 7, 1923 in St. Joseph, to Eldridge and Tresa (Stewart) Simon.

Billy graduated from Lafayette High School in 1942, and enlisted in the army during WWII, and participated in an Honor Flight to the WWII Memorial.

He was also a member of Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Alma (Shaw) Simon, his parents, companion of 30 years, Gloria Peppard, brother, Bob Simon, and sister, Ruth Langdon.

Surviving family includes son, Jerry (Sherry) Simon, of Jefferson City; daughter, Vicky (Richard) Davis, of Chillicothe; son, Danny (Nancy) Simon, sister, Emma Jean Neudorff, and brother, Raymond Simon, all of St. Joseph; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services 1:30 pm Friday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery.

Sprake, James C.

December 27, 2011

Jim Sprake, Faucett, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly December 24, 2011 at a hospital in LaGrange, Kentucky while visiting family in Crestwood, Kentucky.

He was born June 14, 1937 on the family farm, to Lloyd and Mamie Lee (Call) Sprake who preceded him in death. On August 30, 1958 he wed Judy K. Brown of Atlanta, Georgia who survives of the home.

Jim was a graduate of the University of Missouri, College of Agriculture where he later served 2 terms as the President of the Agriculture Alumni Association. He was the Farm Director of KFEQ Radio and TV for 12 years; He owned the “Journal of Livestock and Agriculture” for several years before serving as Deputy Director of Agriculture for the State of Missouri. Jim also worked as director of Member Services for Livestock Marketing Association, Kansas City, before retiring in 2003. He received various political appointments including the first Governor’s Agriculture Advisory Council and also the Atomic Energy Commission.

Jim was baptized on November 2, 1952 and remained an active member of the DeKalb Christian Church. He was a lifetime member of the American Angus Association and an avid supporter of the agricultural youth programs including 4-H, FFA and Junior Angus.

He was also preceded in death by his sister Mary Jean Cabiness, a brother David L. Sprake, and his mother and father-in-law Judy and “Brownie” Brown. Jim is also survived by two children: a daughter, Darla (Ben) Eggers, Mexico, Missouri and Bill (Jane) Sprake and two grandchildren, Joseph William Sprake and Madeline Kessler Sprake of Crestwood, Kentucky; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services 11:00 am Friday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel
Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 9:00 am Thursday, at our Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5:30-8:30 pm, Thursday evening.

Reeves, Christina (Chapman)

Christina (Chapman) Reeves, 49, of Cameron, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Quail Run Health Care Center.

Christina was born on September 28, 1962 in Albany, Missouri to Ray and Ruby Nadean (Long) Chapman.

She graduated from King City High School and had worked at Hardees, Wal-Mart, and as a nurse’s aid at numerous nursing homes. She was a Christian and enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and making crafts.

Christina was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving family includes her sisters, Susan (Rodney) Reeves, of Savannah; Linda Lammers, of St. Joseph; sons, Timmy Reeves and Dakota, daughters, Shelby and Sarah, one grandchild, two nieces, and two nephews.

Mrs. Reeves has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

Pinzino, Todd Alan

Todd Alan Pinzino, 45, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at his home.

Todd was born on March 9, 1966 in St. Joseph to Rudolph and Jeanette (Stuke) Pinzino. He graduated from Lafayette High School.

Todd was outstanding in individual sports and mastered each one, including: karate, body building, arm wrestling, and wrestling. He earned the title “Mr. Saint Joseph”

Surviving family includes his four children; Trevor, Jordan, Ashley, and Alana, his parents, numerous cousins, and granddaughter Mercedes.

Mr. Pinzino has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.

Memorial prayer service 1:30 pm Tuesday, at Horigan Chapel. Inurnment Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Lyle, James E.

December 23, 2011

James E. Lyle, 81, Savannah lost his battle to cancer on December 21, 2011 at a Savannah Health Care Center.

Jim was born September 24, 1930 in St. Joseph, the son of William and Ermil (Rasnic) Lyle and was raised on a farm near Graham. He graduated from Graham High School where he served on the Livestock judging team that won all state levels and traveled to Chicago to compete in the National Livestock Judging contest.

Jim served in Korea for 2 years with the US Marine Corps, 1st Marine Division and was awarded two battle stars.

He worked with the MFA feed division for 15 years. Later he owned and operated Phillips 66 Station in St. Joseph before moving to Savannah. He was an excellent mechanic and operated his own mechanic shop in Savannah for several years. He also worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Savannah.

One of his favorite past times was restoring old tractors and he was a big supporter of the “Show Me Tractor Cruise.” He drove one of his tractors in the cruise for 5 years until he had to give it up because of his health.

In 1954, he married Margaret Ann Williams of St. Joseph and to this union James Michael and Deborah Ann were born. They later divorced.

In 1972, he married Lois Criss Matthews. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Forrest Lyle; and sister, Katherine Jean (Lyle) Livingston.

Survivors are daughter, Deborah Schwenn and husband Steve of Savannah and son, James Michael Lyle, Brownsville, Texas. Other survivors are brothers, Jack (Stella) Lyle of Barnard, Wayne (Catherine) Lyle of Brandon, Mississippi; sister, Clarice (Russell) Hemphill of Kansas City, Missouri;
brother, Joe (Mary Kay) Lyle of Savannah, who served as his caretaker; and many nieces and nephews.

Services 11 am, Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. Visitation will begin after 1 pm, Monday at our Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday evening. Interment Savannah Cemetery.

Nadolski, Norma

Norma Nadolski, 91, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at a local health care facility

Norma was born on July 28, 1920 in Little Rock, Arkansas to David and Johanna (Klonoski) Rhoads. Norma spent the early years of her childhood in Texas. The remainder of her childhood and rest of her life she resided in St. Joseph. Norma graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School. She later worked as a Real Estate Agent at Sprague Realty and was a homemaker.

Norma was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, St. Anne’s Alter Society, Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of Charity, and helped at the St. Francis Xavier House of Bread.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Adam Nadolski, October 9, 2004, her parents, her brother and sister, Alvin and Dorothy Rhoads.

Survivors include sons, James A. Nadolski (Kim), Gary S. Nadolski M.D. (Patricia), all of St. Joseph; six grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, Kristin, Lauren, Nolan, and Michael; and three great-grandchildren, Princeton, Gabriella and Cooper Nadolski.

A Private Mass of Memorialization and Inurnment will be held.

Lipira, Marion

Marion Lipira, 89, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Marion was born on May 20 1922, in St. Joseph, to Guy Anthony and Rose (Punzo) Lipira. He joined the Army during WW II, and served in the European Theatre. He married Lucile Peden on January 29, 1955, at St. Joseph Cathedral. Following the war, he worked at Central Fruit Co. for twenty years before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they lived for thirty years, until moving back to St. Joseph in 1992.

He is survived by wife, Lucile, of the home; two daughters, Marsha Potter, St. Joseph, MO and Roseann Hoeye, Conyers, GA; son, Anthony (Maxine) Lipira, Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and one sister, Carolyn Barber.

Mr. Lipira has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Cathedral at a later date. A Memorial Service and inurnment with full military honors will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery, also at a later date.

Karns, III, George “Sam”

George S. “Sam” Karns, III, 62 of Smithville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Sam was born on November 14, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri to George Sampson Karns, Jr. and Thelma Lucille (Haley) Karns.

Sam was a graduate of Missouri Western State University and was a farmer for most of his life. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and enjoyed coaching Baseball.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Andy Karns and wife, Kelly, daughter, Amy Willoughby and husband Shad; three brothers, Charlie, David, and Pete Karns; four sisters, Karen Williams, Sharon Anderson, Kathy Allnutt, and Laurie Dunlap; five grandchildren, Drew, Haley, Caleb, Drake and Natalie.

Mr. Karns has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.

Altermatt, Allan V.

Allan V. Altermatt, 90, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cameron, Missouri.

He was born on January 29, 1921, near Wanda, Minnesota, to John and Louise (Timm) Altermatt.

He grew up with his family near Wanda, Minnesota on his family’s farm and graduated from Lamberton (Minnesota) High School in 1939.

In September 1942, Allan enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Corps. After basic training he was stationed at Rosecrans Field in St. Joseph, Mo, and then spent a year in India.

He then returned to St. Joseph after the war and married Josephine McKowen, whom he had met through the USO. Spending most of his career selling and servicing Hoover vacuum cleaners; he was known to his customers as “the Hoover Man.” Allan was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Joseph.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Josephine, who passed away October 26, 2000.

Surviving family includes, daughters, Judy Fee (Darrell), of Chesterfield, Missouri; Dianne Stains (Bill), of St. Joseph, Missouri; son, John Altermatt (Dana) of Wildwood, Missouri; grandchildren, Renee (Steven) Yocum of Lawrence, Kansas; Jennifer Fee-Keller (Ken) of Chesterfield, Missouri; Michael Stains, and Carrie Stains, both of St. Joseph, Missouri; Gregory Fee of Seattle, Washington; Sarah, Andrew, and Joshua Altermatt of Wildwood, Missouri, and four great-grandchildren.

Belcher, Gerald “Butch”

Gerald “Butch” Belcher, 70, St. Joseph, MO passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Butch was born on February 17, 1941, in St. Joseph, to Lester Wright and Helen Maxine (Callaway) Belcher. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Butch was retired from Wire Rope Corp. and was a member of YMCA.

He married Nancie Allen in St. Joseph, in August 1963. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his son, Clint Belcher; daughter, Janie (John) Koehler and grandson, Jordan Blair.

Mr. Belcher has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Consodine, Carolyn M.

Carolyn was born on July 7, 1929 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Thomas J. and Lena F. (Arthur) Consodine, Sr.

Carolyn graduated from Convent of the Sacred Heart and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar Society and Alumni of the Sacred Heart Convent. She was an Admitting Clerk with Sister’s Hospital and later Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Maj. Thomas J. Consodine, Jr., USMC.

She is survived by her sister, Monica Consodine of the home; sister-in-law, Evelyn Consodine, Wichita Falls, Texas; four nephews, Tom Consodine, Tim Consodine, Kevin Consodine and wife Debra, Daniel Consodine and wife, Stephanie and numerous cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 12:00 noon Tuesday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel. Rosary 6:00pm Tuesday evening at our chapel, where the family will receive friends following the rosary until 8:00pm.

Wagers, Martha Lee

Martha Lee Wagers, 85, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Martha was born in Ravenna, Kentucky, on December 20, 1925, to Elliott C. and Anna Kathryn Rogers. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Church and had worked for Parisoff ‘s Grocery for 30 years, St. Joseph School District and Jackson Furniture.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl E. Wagers on March 20, 1982; son, Rev. Ronald Wagers; great-grandson, Carson Wagers; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two sons, Roger (Donna) Wagers and Randy (Marcia) Wagers; daughter-in-law, Liz Wagers; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Teatsorth and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Evangelical Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carole J. (Yarger) Robreau, 74, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011, at Heartland Regional Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Her family was at her side at the time of her death.

Carole was born in St. Joseph on October 3, 1937, to John H and Cleva L. (Walters) Yarger. Carol worked as a sales clerk, most recently at Dillards.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her daughter Kathy Sue (Robreau) Heckert, Lawson, MO; sons, Paul Michael Robreau and Mark Steven Robreau of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Chad Allen (Lindsey) Heckert and Rebecca Sue Heckert; sisters, Jean (Yarger) McDonald, Platte City, MO and Janet (Yarger) Jones, St. Joseph, MO; numerous nieces and nephews and her dog, Bruno.

Eva Inez (Chandler) Dennis, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at Carriage Square Health Care Center.

She was the daughter of Raymond and Leona (Pearson) Chandler, who preceded her in death.

Eva is also preceded in death by her 1st Husband, Don E. Ramsey; 2nd Husband, Jack E. Smith; and 3rd Husband, Leonard Dennis.

She is survived by one son, Michael (Sharon) Ramsey, of St. Joseph; granddaughter, Andrea Nicole (Martin Bambrick) Ramsey, of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Jeanetta (Jerry) Holt, of St. Joseph, and a host of friends. The family wishes to give special thanks to Carriage Square Caregivers and Staff.

Cochran, Bonnie Jo (Stevens)

Bonnie Jo (Stevens) Cochran, 78, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at her home.

Bonnie Jo was born on August 30, 1933 in Joplin, Missouri to Earl and Josephine (Tando) Stevens.

She attended both Southwest Missouri State University and Pittsburgh State University. She was a teacher in the Joplin, Missouri Public Schools and Carl Junction for several years. She also had worked for the State of Missouri Division of Employment Security. Following her retirement, Bonnie Jo returned to substitute teaching in Joplin and Carl Junction

Bonnie Jo was preceded in death by her parents.

She married Russell G. Cochran on October 30, 1954 in Joplin, Missouri, he survives of the home. Memorial service 11:00am Tuesday, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hands of Hope Hospice in St. Joseph or First Community Church in Joplin, Missouri.

Kretzer, Jr., Emerson A.

Emerson A. Kretzer, Jr., 82, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at his home.

Emerson was born on July 19, 1929, in St. Joseph, to Lillian (Rehm) and Emerson Kretzer, Sr. He attended schools in St. Joseph and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. On January 26, 1952, he married Nadine Waymire and they later divorced. He served in the Navy and Air Force and during the Korean Conflict. After retiring from the military in 1963, Emerson worked as a laborer for several companies in St. Joseph until his retirement in the early 90’s. He was also a member of American Legion Post #359; Northwest Missouri Model Railroaders and Laborers Union Local #579.

Emerson was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Charles Kretzer; son, Michael; grandsons, David, Michael and Brian and great-grandson, Ethan.

Survivors include his children, Marie (Ron) Hoyt, Gail (Dennis) Smith, Emerson (Denise) Kretzer IV, John Kretzer, David (Kelly) Kretzer, Margaret Wells, all of St.Joseph; Timothy (Cathy) Kretzer of Texas and Karl (Regina) Kretzer, Savannah, MO; brothers, Gary and John Kretzer, of St. Joseph; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and his friend, Marcy Whitlatch.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Rosary 7:00 p.m. Friday.

The family suggests memorials to St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Odette, Lisa M.

Lisa M. Odette, 53, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at her home.

Lisa was born on April 4, 1958, in New Braunfels, Texas, to Gerald E. and Suzann (Shaw) Odette. She was a graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph and attended MO Western State University. She worked for Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Lisa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leo and Frances Odette and maternal grandfather, Donald Shaw.

Survivors include her parents; her son, Dalton Odette and maternal grandmother, Janet Shaw, all of St. Joseph, MO.

Graveside Services 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Clarksdale Cemetery, Clarksdale, MO, under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The procession will leave the funeral home at 12:00 noon Thursday, for anyone wishing to follow. There will be no visitation at our Chapel.

Currie, Kathy

Kathy Currie, 52, of Faucett, Missouri, passed away, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Kathy was born on October 16, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to Marvin and Reta (Torneden) Miller.

Kathy worked as a U.S.D.A. Consumer Safety Inspector for 12 years and her duty station was Triumph Foods Inc. She received her Associates Degree in Fine Arts at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico.

Kathy was the Vice President and St. Joseph representative of the American Federation of Government Employees and Elected officer of the Women’s & Fair Practice Coordinator for the Midwest Counsel of Food Inspectors. She loved animals and animals loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her Husband Les Currie, of the home, and many, many, close friends.

Memorial service 1:00 pm Wednesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
