St. Joseph, MO-Jack M. Buthman, 62, passed away Monday, May 4, 2010, at his home.
Jack was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on August 9, 1947 to Joseph William and Dorothea Madelyne (Schnabel) Buthman, Jr. He graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver for the Holmes Freight Lines and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Jack was survived by his daughters, Stephanie Shaline and her husband, Scott, and Jackie Huffer, both of Savannah, Missouri; grandchildren, Casey, Tyler and Logan Shaline and Kelsey and Jacob Huffer; sisters, Judy Jane Lyons and her husband, Richard of Plano, Texas and Jo Ann Marie Friess of St. Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph William Buthman, III.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 8th at 10:00 AM at Horigan Chapel at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 9:00 AM, Thursday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the chapel.
