Joan M. Hill-Nichols, 70, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010, at her home.
Joan was born December 12, 1939 to Lawrence L. and Dorothy M. (Nagle) Hill in St. Joseph. She graduated from Central High School in 1958. She was a secretary for MO-Kan Regional Council.
In her day, she enjoyed dancing immensely, winning many contests over the years. She also enjoyed bowling and shopping. But her favorite pastime was spending quality time with her family, providing love and unity through her incredible sense of humor and lively spirit.
Joan was preceded in death by parents; and one brother, Denny Hill.
She married David G. Nichols on February 19, 1987 in St. Joseph, he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include daughter, Tami Supple, St. Joseph; son, J. Kent Allen, Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Josh Combs, Lacey DeFreece, Austin Combs; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Diane Kent; and one brother, Craig Hill.
Private family memorial services will be held under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation
