Saint Joseph, Missouri- Lee went to heaven to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on May 22, 2010, with his wife by his side. Lee fought a courageous battle with cancer for five years. Now he walks the streets of heaven healed and renewed.

Lee was born April 12, 1960, in Gould, Arkansas to Leon and Pearline Porter-Hunt. He was an ordained minister of the Lord, and a member of Central Assembly of God Church.

On April 20, 1995, he married Jacquelyn Graves, of the home. He leaves his memory behind with his wife Jacquelyn Hunt; son, Frederick E. Graves II and his companion Kristen McKinney; a daughter, Christine Barnett and her companion Craig Curtis; eleven grandchildren, Chaning Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Mariah Barnett, Tatyana Hughes, Jada Hammer, Colbey Curtis, Nevaeh Graves, Frederick Graves III, Jazlyn Merritt, Rakiyah Graves and Felicia Hamilton; three great-grandsons, Diego Lopez, Jakobe Barnett and Zaden Batey and a mother-in-law, Ruby Stanton. He leaves behind seven siblings, Jeweline and husband Robert Harris, Arkansas City, Arkansas, Ola Mae Dixon, Tillar, Arkansas, Jerry Hunt, Tillar, Arkansas, Richard and wife Florida Hunt, Tillar, Arkansas, Rose Lee Hunt, Tillar, Arkansas, Willie Hunt, Los Angeles, California, Ernestine Hunt, Kansas City, Missouri, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lee was a very happy person through all the pain he smiled the entire time there wasn’t a moment that he didn’t keep his sense of humor. He laughed and joked and had a sarcastic comment for just about anything. He lived for his family, especially his wife and his grandchildren. There was never a man that loved his wife more than Lee loved Jacquie. He woke up just to see her smiling face. Lee would protect her at all cost, even to his last breath he protected her. Lee was a God fearing man, and would tell you that in a minute. His advice to people would always be, “take it to the Lord”. He believed in God’s will to the very last second of his life. No matter what the Doctors said, Lee always said that “God has the final say”. He found peace in gardening, fishing and reading his Bible. He enjoyed being in the presence of the Lord and the fellowship from the members he received there.

Mr. Hunt was cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. There will be a memorial service held Thursday, May 27, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Central Assembly of God, 1222 N. 18th Street, Saint Joseph, Missouri. Rev. William Kropp officiating.
