Belvadine “Belle” King, 94, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at her home.
Belvadine was born on February 28, 1916, in Barnard, MO, to Frederick C. and Bessie (Wells) Newcomer. She was raised on a farm at Barnard. She was a member of Deer Park Grace United Methodist Church. She worked at Whitaker Cable for twenty-one years, retiring as an inspector in 1980.
Belvadine married Vernon Eugene King on April 21, 1939, in Barnard, MO. He passed away in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Elsie Allen, Ruby Thompson, Dorothy Roberts and Susie Meridith.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Bob) Stark, St. Joseph, MO and Vermaria Donoho; three granddaughters, Ramona (Paul) Wiederholt, Dianna McKinney & Mark and Leslie (Jim) Hardin; five great-grandsons, Matthew (Ruth) Wiederholt, David Wiederholt, Ted and Tyler McKinney and Jamie Hardin; two great-great-grandsons, Kaiden and Jaxon Wiederholt and several nieces and nephews.
Services 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 noon Monday at the Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening.
