Carrie Sue Lewin, 39, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Carrie was born on January 9, 1971, in St. Joseph, MO. She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Missouri Western State University. She was a member of Word of Life Church.
Carrie was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Howard & Ellen Coats; paternal grandfather Virgil Fry and maternal grandfather, David Bossler.
Survivors include her son, Shane Lewin, daughter, Clarissa Lewin and granddaughter, Lux McBeth all of St. Joseph, MO; sisters, Tracy (Shannon) Evans and Cassie (Daniel) Johnson, of Stewartsville, MO; mother, Janith Coats, St. Joseph, MO; father, Tom Coats, Fillmore, MO; maternal grandmother, Doris Waldeier, St. Joseph, MO; paternal grandmother, Virginia Fry, Abilene, KS; one niece, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ms. Lewin has been cremated. Memorial Service 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Arthritis Foundation.
