Dorothy H. Lopez

Dorothy H. Lopez, 84, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the local hospital.

Dorothy was born on September 9, 1925 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Henry J. and Gladys N. (Hargis) Meyers. She married Dallis E. Lopez on April 29, 1944 in Troy, Kansas, He preceded her in death on April 23, 1997. She was also preceded by two sons, Dana G. Lopez and Dennis H. Lopez.

Dorothy was the head of the House Keeping Department at the Ramada Inn.

She is survived by her children, Dawnetta (Lopez) Griffin, David A. Lopez, Duane L. Lopez all of St. Joseph, Missouri and Danny E. Lopez of Yucca Valley, California; one brother, Bill E. Meyers of Garfield, Arkansas; one sister, Patricia A. Bales of St. Joseph, Missouri; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lopez has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Friday evening at our chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
