We both attended Lafayette High School and had so many of those great times together. Although we've lived far apart in recent years, she is always in my heart and mind. I truly loved her great sense of humor, and she loved people and her family. I regret that I was unable to attend her funeral, as I've not traveled for several years. We know she is now at great peace, Betty Joe and Eldon Lawson. Marie was my first cousin, but more like a sister to me when we were growing up.
