Roger E. Miller, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at a local hospital.
Roger was born February 2, 1939 to Howard and Mary (Kiefer) Miller in St. Joseph. He spent his early years in Forbes, Missouri, then moved to St. Joseph. After graduating from Lafayette High School, he received an Associate Degree from St. Joseph Junior College.
He worked at Auto Electric Magneto for 20 years. He then became an engineer for the St. Joseph School District at Parkway School, retiring in 2001 after 19 years. Roger was a member of Clarksdale Lodge # 559 AF & AM and the Scottish Rite.
On August 4, 1990, he was married to Sharon (Lovelady) Brandon at the Community Presbyterian Church, she survives of the home.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
Additional survivors include sister, Gail Meyer, Overland Park, Kansas; nieces, Cyndia McClanahan, Pomona, Kansas, Jenee Meyer, Shawnee, Kansas; nephew, Marvin Meyer, Kansas City, Missouri, Randy Bohot, Bob Bohot, both of St. Joseph, Vernon Lovelady, Holt, Missouri and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services 11 am, Wednesday Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Visitation will begin after 1:00 pm, Tuesday at our Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
