Catherine Sims Osborne, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010, at a St. Joseph health care center.
Catherine was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on August 2, 1921, to Eldridge and Ola (Turner) Sims.
She worked as an LPN at Humana Medical Center, in Huntsville, retiring in 1982, after thirty years of service in health care.
Catherine married Charles Thomas Osborne on September 15, 1940, in Huntsville. He passed away in July, 1984. Catherine was also preceded in death by her parents; five sons and two daughters.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Jean Centeno, St. Joseph, MO; two brothers; one sister; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Osborne has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph, MO. There will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
