Phil Sanders, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at his home.
Phil was born on October 6, 1945, in Seattle, Washington. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was later employed at ALTEC in St. Joseph.
Phil was a die hard Chiefs fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Mae Veale and Dutch and Jen Barwald, who raised him.
Phil married Frances Galvan on October 18, 1996. She survives of the home. Other survivors include daughters, Angela Jameson, Kim Sanders and Kara Sanders; sons, Andrew Klepees and Jeffery Klepees; brother Ray Sanders and four grandchildren.
Mr. Sanders has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Holt’s Place.
The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society.
