For nearly 30 years, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel has been a member of the International Order of the Golden Rule, an organization that limits membership.

To belong to the Golden Rule, a member has to maintain strict professional standards within the community, following this important guideline,

“Do unto others as you would have those do unto you.”

At Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, we commit ourselves to these high standards, and continuously strive to incorporate them within the funeral profession. It is the privilege and determination of our staff to assist each and every family and understands that the passing of a loved one is a time for reflection and introspection. The way in which each family chooses to honor those who pass before, however, is unique.

For example, you may wish to have a traditional funeral service held at our chapel, you may prefer to have the service at your own church, or you may feel that a simple graveside service is most appropriate. Our funeral directors will guide you through the rest of the decisions that will further personalize this most important time.

We have also created several funeral packages to help our families more easily plan a meaningful funeral or memorial service. These packages have been carefully crafted over our many years of serving this community. They are based on the thoughtful decisions at which so many of our families have eventually arrived. We feel that these packages not only help simplify the decision-making process at a difficult time, but they also offer a great value to you. We are happy to pass these savings along to those families who have placed their trust in us.
