Stewart Lester “Les” Simon, 49, Cosby, Missouri died Tuesday, July 20, 2010.

Les was born October 12, 1960 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He married Ellen Walsh on August 1, 1987. She survives of the home.

Les grew up an active baseball player and loved the outdoors. He worked for ten years with High Life Sales and three years with O’Malley Beverage. He has been owner and operator of the Gun Dog School of Missouri since 1999.

He was always a helpful and kind person who worked hard and wanted his customers to be happy with their dogs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob L. Simon and mother Virginia (Gartland) Simon.

Survivors include brother, Rodney J. Simon of Tucson, Arizonia; sisters, Linda L. Casey, Robin A. Modis both of St. Joseph; mother-in-law, Jane Ellen Walsh, Greensboro, North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Shannon Walsh, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mary Pat and Rod Hooker, Wilmington, North Carolina, Tim and Chris Walsh, Hiram, Georgia, John and Erin Harrison, Raleigh, North Carolina, Kelly Stanick, High Point, North Carolina, John and Kerry Chapman, Loveland, Ohio, Sean Walsh, Washington, D.C; and a multitude of nieces and nephews who loved him.

Memorial services 10 am, Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the Simon home in Cosby, Missouri. Arrangements under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
