Joyce Ann Warren, 69, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Joyce was born in St. Joseph on February 16, 1941, and was a lifelong resident. She was a 1959 graduate of Lafayette High School. She married J. L. Warren on July 9, 1960 while she was teaching beauty school at Carl’s Beauty Salon. She later owned and operated The Trend and Joyce Ann’s Beauty Salon.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jessie (Meeks) Dancer and husband, J.L. Warren on November 24, 2002.
Joyce is survived by her son, Michael Warren, St. Joseph, MO; granddaughter, Shyanne Jo Warren, Platte City, MO; brother, Joseph Dancer and wife Margie, of Arkansas; three nieces, Dena Lyford, Leah Thompson and Jodi Jimenez; and two nephews, Douglas Gall and Bryan Dancer.
A “Celebration of Life” memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel followed by a catered reception to be announced at the Celebration. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
