John Edward “Jack” Weiser, 74, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at a St. Joseph health care center.
Jack was born on July 26, 1935, in St. Joseph, to Charles E. and Charlotte (Olson) Weiser, who preceded him in death. In his early years, he attended the Mary U. Kneipp School for Crippled Children and until recently, Adult Programming at United Cerebral Palsy in St. Joseph. He loved country music and went to many concerts. Jack had many friends in the community and family who loved and cared for him. Until his recent illness, he was happy and healthy. He was patient, compassionate and appreciative. He will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his brother, Richard (Linda) Weiser and sister, Judy (Dave) Heinje, all of St. Joseph, MO; nephews, Rick and Jeff Weiser and niece, Stephanie Clark.
Visitation will begin after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Private graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to U.C.P. of St. Joseph.
