Frances Worley, 86, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at Carriage Square health care center.
Frances was born on August 19, 1923, in Conception, MO. She was a graduate of Jefferson C- 123 High School.
Frances married Donald Laughlin on September 22, 1950. He was killed during the Korean Conflict in 1951. She later married James Worley in February, 1956. He passed away in 1971. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Francis Worley; parents, Catherine and Ernest Mattson, Sr.; brother, Ernest “Ed” Mattson, Jr. and sister, Alfreda (Mattson) Wilmes.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Worley, Templeton, CA; step-son, Jimmy Worley, of California; brothers, Henry Mattson, Conception Junction, MO and John Mattson, Stanberry, MO; sister, Loretta Henry, Palm Beach, CA; aunt, Sister Maurcita Schieber, OSB, Atchison, KS; uncle, Father Joachim Schieber, OSB, Conception, MO; numerous nieces and nephews and her extended family at Carriage Square Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, MO. Interment St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, MO.
Prayer Service 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Church, where the family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hands of Hope Hospice or to St. Columba Parish.
